The Loraine Room offers an ideal location for your meeting or event. Situated in the heart of rural Northumberland, yet just 30 minutes from Newcastle, Hexham and Morpeth, just off the A696, it is easily reached by car, providing that away-from-it-all feeling without the isolation.

Completed in 2006, the facility offers bright, modern and flexible meeting space adjacent to Kirkharle Courtyard.

Our superb conference facilities can cater for all your needs for your special event or meeting. Some of the occasions we have catered for are:

Why choose the Loraine Room?

For those looking for an out-of-office meeting facility, the Loraine Room offers a unique package. The bright, attractive room, which can accommodate 60 or so delegates is suitable for a variety of functions from meetings to exhibitions.

The main room measures 9m x 7.5m, with an additional annex measuring 4.5m x4m – 86sqm in total. A modern kitchen and toilets make the facility entirely self-contained, with full disabled access.

Environment

What makes the Loraine Room different is its environment. Beautifully situated amidst the delightful Northumberland countryside, and with stunning views in every direction, the facilities sit adjacent to Kirkharle Courtyard. Birthplace of ‘Capability’ Brown, the Courtyard has been sympathetically developed and today houses a delightful collection of galleries and workshops together with a traditional coffee house and restaurant, which are open to the public all year round.

Catering

Should you require catering for your event, we are able to offer a range of options from tea and coffee to a three-course meal with full waitress service. The facility is also fully licensed.

Service

The Kirkharle staff will ensure that all your requirements are fully met. From the layout of the room to your catering, and any additional requirements, we will work with you to ensure your event runs smoothly and seamlessly.

Parking

Extensive parking is available free of charge at Kirkharle, ensuring maximum convenience for your delegates or guests.

The Loraine Room offers excellent value. Available for hire on a half-day or day rate, no hidden charges apply. A choice of catering arrangements also enables you to work within your budget. Accessibility

Whilst The Loraine Room is fully accessible, every effort has been made to ensure that Kirkharle Courtyard is also accessible to as many people as possible. However a small number of workshops are up steps, so access to these is limited. To enquire about accessibility, please contact individual workshops.
