SUSTAINABILITY AT KIRKHARLE

Kirkharle Courtyard and its surrounding land is managed for the benefit of the environment, local people, local businesses and visitors alike.

We are committed to its long term sustainability and work closely with Natural England, The Forestry Commission and The Woodland Trust, constantly seeking ways to enhance our landscape and enrich its biodiversity whilst protecting the flora and fauna.

Our own timber is used in a Biomass district heating system which heats all of the units at Kirkharle Courtyard, reducing our carbon footprint.

We have not inherited this land from our ancestors; rather we have borrowed it from our children.
