Roo & Neil are a fiddle and accordion duo based in Glasgow. They have been playing together for over 10 years, brought together by their shared musical background spanning Classical, Jazz and Traditional music.
Da Vinci Quartet
It is a pleasure to welcome the Da Vinci Quartet to the Kirkharle Summer Concerts series again. The group has become a much loved regular fixture over the years as part of the summer programme.
Ian Sankey and Anna Michels
Trombonist, Ian Sankey, and pianist, Anna Michels will be performing a mixed recital of acoustic and electric music for trombone and keyboards.
Adam Wood and Celia Bouch

Run Northumberland Kirkharle Shepherds Trail 10k
This fantastic event returns to Kirkharle in 2025 (the birthplace of Lancelot 'Capability' Brown - known as England's greatest gardener, or the Shakespeare of gardening). This wild trail run of 10k takes place in the local countryside around the beautiful hamlet of Kirkharle Courtyard.

Cyclone Festival of Cycling
Whilst we’re not an official stop site, two routes of this fabulous cycling event pass right past us (Routes C & D). Whether you’re cycling or supporting why not pop in and enjoy a relaxing lunch or snack to refuel and re-energise or offer words of encouragement for the onward journey. Make a day of it? Shoot & Sketch Workshop
Spend a lovely creative morning with photographer, Sarah Loveland and artist Rebecca Noelle Purvis. Sarah will teach you how to get the best from your phone camera so that you can take great pictures to sketch from. Rebecca will take you through the steps of sketching from your photographs. Shakespeare in the Courtyard!
Join the HandleBards in the Courtyard for a hilarious, high-octane production of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Four young lovers find themselves lost in a magical forest, where the Fairy King and Queen are fighting for the possession of a changeling boy. A group of amateur actors head to the same forest to rehearse for a play. Humans and fairies collide and hilarity ensues.

Summer Concert Series - Back by Demand!
Six live concerts in St Wilfrid’s Church, Kirkharle Courtyard with professional musicians from the North East. A taste of classical, folk, traditional and jazz for summer afternoons throughout the Summer.
Each concert is £15 per person to include a cuppa and freshly baked fruit scone afterwards, served in the church.

Entry is free, the Courtyard shops will be open and the Coffee House will be serving up it’s renowned homemade refreshments. This year, we’ve also got a local hog roast joining us - definitely not to be missed!

Fundraising Concert
Iona Brown and Mike Gerrard, two generous and gifted musicians, and members of the royal Northern Sinfonia, will be giving a violin/viola duo concert. They are well known to audiences at Kirkharle as half of the string quartet who play regularly at the church.
The aim is to help raise funds to send Sophie, aged 16, to build homes for homeless families and other missionary activities as part of the M10 Challenge, a 10-day voluntary mission to Ensenada in Mexico.
The concert will be around an hour in length, held in the acoustically beautiful St Wilfrid’s Church and refreshments will be served after the music, with the chance to chat to Sophie about her exciting plans. Parking is at Kirkharle Courtyard.
