Regulars to the Courtyard are Matt, Reece and their team of guides riding the Ural sidecars on their various adventures, calling in for coffee and edible fuel on their way! These are superb and surprisingly comfortable rides and make for a great day out across the stunning Northumberland countryside around Kirkharle and beyond. So, if you have an adventurer in your life, why not gift a daytrip to whet their appetite? Lots of options to choose from, including pick up and drop offs from Kirkharle if that is more convenient. We’re delighted to host the fourth, annual North East Classic and Pre-War Auto Show.

Entry is free, the Courtyard shops will be open and the Coffee House will be serving up its renowned homemade refreshments. And again this year, we’ve got a local hog roast joining us - definitely not to be missed!

Whilst we’re not an official stop site, two routes of this fabulous cycling event pass right past us (Routes C & D). Summer Concert Series - Back by Demand!

Six live concerts in St Wilfrid’s Church, Kirkharle Courtyard with professional musicians from the North East. A taste of classical, folk, traditional and jazz for summer afternoons throughout the Summer.

Each concert is £15 per person to include a cuppa and freshly baked fruit scone afterwards, served in the church.

Fundraising Concert

Fundraising Concert

Iona Brown and Mike Gerrard, two generous and gifted musicians, and members of the royal Northern Sinfonia, will be giving a violin/viola duo concert. They are well known to audiences at Kirkharle as half of the string quartet who play regularly at the church.

The aim is to help raise funds to send Sophie, aged 16, to build homes for homeless families and other missionary activities as part of the M10 Challenge, a 10-day voluntary mission to Ensenada in Mexico.

The concert will be around an hour in length, held in the acoustically beautiful St Wilfrid’s Church and refreshments will be served after the music, with the chance to chat to Sophie about her exciting plans. Parking is at Kirkharle Courtyard.

There are two age groups on Monday 20th February at Kirkharle Courtyard. 10.30-11.15 for under 13's and 12-12.45 for 13-16yrs. Delivering two performances; one at 11am and one at 2.30pm, our favourite string quartet, whose musicians are all members of the Royal Northern Sinfonia will get you in the mood for a festive celebration. Each piece in the programme will transport you to a different wintery destination, from Vivaldi's winter chills in Mantua to Piazzola's tangos in the sultry atmosphere of Argentinian winter.
